I've been wondering about this for quite some time. What is a good temperature range to try to keep your CPU in (Intel or AMD)?

Anything below about 50 degrees C is a good temperature, and nothing to worry about.

When your processor is working full tilt, depending on which processor you have, you can see temps go as high as 65C...sometimes even into the 70s. But as long as the temps don't exceed the maximum you should be okay. Idle temps in the 30s to 40s C are good (even 50s C if you have one of the hotter running CPUs). Working temps in the mid 40s to high 50s C range can be expected with spikes up into the high 60s to even low 70s C range (extreme cases). Cricket
