REmoved DVD burner(second drive), now must F1 startup
Oh yeah, you read it, have a Dell 4600 for four months, installed on my own a IOMagic 4x DVD burner drive three months ago, but I removed it from the computer completely since I returned it due to dissatisfaction of my rebate not coming through as promised, SO when I shut off the machine, it shows I have to either hit F1 key to continue loading windows, or hit F2 key to run setup, cause secondary drive "0" can't be found. On SEtup, I can't see where or what I would need to change.
Funny how the computer automatically recognized the DVD drive months ago, but now it won't stop looking for it. What is even more unfortunate, but just something to add, is that I had exchanged for a Pioneer brand DVD drive, and not only is the drive tray too wide to open past the front bezel, AND my system doesn't seem to recognize it anyway. Of course this means I am gonna get a refund and maybe get a dvd burner if I really really need it, cause I didn't seem to have use for it anyway, like I haven't really used much my CD RW drive that came with the DEll. But, haha, if I can just eliminate that error message on my practically new computer, maybe someone knows right off what I must do. Any help will be appreciated. |

Thanks, I got the courage to do some changing, took your advice, and it now does not show that message. Thanks.
