Exclamation Warning for all you Pocket PC users that are looking for SD cards

A friend of mine that has an HP iPAQ H2210 Pocket PC just bought 2 x 256meg SD cards that were made by a company called "KingMax". The SD cards in question were of model "Kingmax Platinum SD Card". It seems that the cards bent a pin in the Pocket PC, rendering the Pocket PC's SD card slot unusable.

For those technically inclined, what happened was the card is a bit thinner then most SD cards, additionally, it doesn't have the plastic guide that protects the contacts. If anyone needs more details, i'd be able to get more info from the friend that shared his experience. The end result is that HP is taking the Pocket PC under warrenty for repair.

Regards,

Michael
