Woohoo ordered a heck of a case

i ordered a nice and shiny Lian Li PC-60 last night. im getting soooo excited. this is one great case since it has a removable mobo tray, 2 front intakes with filter, 1 rear exhaust, and 1 top blowhole. another good thing, its completely toolless, everything comes apart with thumb screws. the only bad thing is i have to wait a few days before it gets here .

Thats one sweet case. Its kinda hard to judge how large it is from the pictures. Looks like putting an internal water cooling setup in it would be kinda tight though.

i never understood how lian cases are worth as much as some of them cost. they just dont seem like they are worth that much.

They just make quality cases - observe the material. Aluminum - light but strong. Nice case Tin -birthday present? Post pics when you have your rig inside

Yeah, but it's also one of the most abundant metals on Earth and one of the easiest to work with. So it's not like it's a rare material or causes manufacturers to constantly replace cutting tools. I really don't understand why aluminum cases are so expensive.

I have often drooled over the Lian-Li cases, but I have never figured out what people do about the color of their 5.25" front bays. Do you people just leave your drab white/black CD Roms or DVDs showing on the front of the aluminium case, or do you do something else to improve the appearance?

there cases are expensive because they arnt "eyecandy" in your face cases but they are very simple and easy to work with

atleast thats what ive heard in all the threads here. Ive never actuily biult one but they look nice and sturdy not to eye poping and not to boring and white good case for anyone

ps. dont take my word for it

Nice case tin,

Also aluminum cases are better at dissapating heat then steel cases, so people pay for that.

the lian li cases are like a box of legos, probably the easiest case to work on. as for the 5.25" bays, i bought lian li aluminum bezels for the drives so it all matches. everything comes apart with thumb screws. it has a fan filter for the front intakes, removable mobo tray, removable PSU tray, the front intakes are adjustable, the whole front panel pops right off without screws or push in tabs. in other words, this case rocks the house. its can be completely disassembled in a matter of minutes without having to bend your hands and fingers in awkward positions to remove bays, panels, and the like. go check out some reviews of it, its a very quality piece of hardware. mine should be here either friday or monday.

ALuminium cases are prolly just expensive because they're not the stock standard... if they were, they'd be turning out so many they'd be much cheaper

Also, because they're a 'luxury', they tend to be better made I reckon

this is an EXCELLENT case, very well worth the money. my temps are 5C lower than what they were on my modded lanboy. all i can say, from now on, im exclusively going to use lian li for my future builds, and possibly builds for other people if they want to shell out the extra cash for something nice . lain li scores an A++ in my book. antec, chieftec, enlight, aspire....not bad cases, but nothing beats a lian li.

FLG is correct - Aluminum cases are more expensive/popular because they dissapate heat better while looking good too Copper Cases would be even more popular for thier heat dissapation if they were cases, however the metal is far too bendable and no where near the sturdiness people need in cases. I have a friend who uses Lian-Li almost exclusively for his builds. You can't be dissapointed with this case. Modders also use the case often as it provides a blank canvas of sorts to express there ideas.
Good Luck with it Tin,
-Joe
