Chieftec Cases- All their cracked up to be?

As many people have said, cheiftec cases are very good and nice quality, i was just wondering if that was really true because im most likely getting one...

My original case was the Thermaltake Dream Tower Tsunami- as much as i wanted it and dreamed about it, its a bit too expensive for me...

Instead, im most likely getting a Chieftec case- supposedly good and also a heck of a lot cheaper...
The one im looking into is HERE at tiger direct (one of the only chieftec dealers)

If anyone has any experience with these please tell me...
Also, i was wondering if this case came with the fans, it tells you all about them, but i couldn' t tell if it actually came with them...

thanks for the help guys, tell me what you think, everything else is in my sig

chieftec is a great case. Chieftec, Antec, Chenbro, and Aspire are all made by the same company....which is Chenming.

I will never buy anything but Chieftec...
As you can tell, I like them. Great quality, well built, no sharp edges and the colours are vibrant. I have built a half dozen systems with them and never had any complaint.

I would actually recommed the Chieftec Dragon as the one you have selected tends to collect a LOT of dust in the front bezel because of the design. This link is the exact case I have but of course you seem to like black which is also available.

They will come with the side panel (one 80MM with nice long cable) fan but no others so you'll have to pick up a fan or two.

Hope I've helped a bit,
Stryker

Actually, Chenming, Chieftec and Chenbro are three different companies. Antec and Thermaltake cases are made (or were made) by Chieftec or Chenming at one time or another.

Last night I installed an Asus K8V SE Deluxe in a Chieftec Dragon case. This is my first build, so I definitely qualify as a newbie. I love the case, but the online manual leaves a lot to be desired.

It amuses me when a manufacturer says that a hard copy of the manual is not provided because they are trying to save natural resources. Is money con sidered a natural resource.

It took a lot of head-scratching and searching online to insure all the connections were correct, especially the front panel USB and firewire. But now, since I did figure it out, the next one should be easy.

All the connectors were labeled, with the exception of the Firewire front panel. But I didn't know '+5v -D +D' was the USB wiring, until I found a diagram in the FAQ of Chieftec's site (Nothing in the online manual). I also assumed that the black wire in the front panel power connectors was the ground (This is right, isn't it)

That's a pretty sweet lookin' case I think. Will probably be quite similar to the Dragon as far as construction goes. And guess what... I have a Chieftec wireless keyboard & mouse combo to match my case! The color (at least on mine) matches really well and the keyboard has a good "feel" to it as well (tactile keys). The multimedia buttons and stuff on the keyboard worked immediately upon installation of the drivers, and I have had trouble with other manufacturers mm keys before. I would recommend the set and they aren't as expensive as a Logitec or Microsoft set.

As far as fans, the case is pretty well set up. I have the side fan as exhaust, a rear fan as exhaust and two front fans as air intakes. You could make ice cubes in my case (well maybe not, but it's pretty cool). If you order everything all at once, get yourself a couple 80MM fans as that is the size of all of the mounts in the case. That's right, no screws to put your fans it!!!! YEAAAAH.

My brother has a silver dragon and he has done some lighting. Looks pretty sweet in the Chieftec, but then again case lighting look cool just about anywhere!

Maybe I should work for Chieftec???
