New cooling system
I'm transferring old parts into a new case with a new power supply and cooling system. In the old system, the mobo had a wire which connected to the fan. With the new fan, it hooks directly to the power supply. Does it matter that there is no longer a connection between the fan and the mobo?

Mobo might "yell" at you because it dosnt think theres a fan connected. Or it might do nothing.

You'll lose any software monitoring of the fanspeed
|
