conflicting hard drives

Ok Yesterday I slaved two drives together one(c) had WIN ME the other(d) had Win 98. Formatted drive d....Win 98 is gone.
Loaded win xp on drive d wated it to go over WIN me on drive c but accidentally put it on drive d. So when i started it up both were there and working fine. Here comes the problems; Didn't want to keep Win me on there so I tried to format c. It wouldn't format. I tried switching the drives around to make D, master and c,slave. doesn't work. finally erased Win me and now have both drives w/ xp on them....no good. tried to format d drive...now the slave again.. won't let me format the disk to blank one os off. also still showing Win me in start up options. Any suggestions?

I'd start over and wipe both drives, you need to do more than just reformat. What OS do you WANT to have?
