conflicting hard drives
Ok Yesterday I slaved two drives together one(c) had WIN ME the other(d) had Win 98. Formatted drive d....Win 98 is gone.
Loaded win xp on drive d wated it to go over WIN me on drive c but accidentally put it on drive d. So when i started it up both were there and working fine. Here comes the problems; Didn't want to keep Win me on there so I tried to format c. It wouldn't format. I tried switching the drives around to make D, master and c,slave. doesn't work. finally erased Win me and now have both drives w/ xp on them....no good. tried to format d drive...now the slave again.. won't let me format the disk to blank one os off. also still showing Win me in start up options. Any suggestions? |

I'd start over and wipe both drives, you need to do more than just reformat. What OS do you WANT to have?
