Over from UK, Need a US Case
Hi, I live in the UK but move over to Florida next week, I am going to take over every part of my PC apart from my case and PSU.
I just wanted an Idea of what PSU and case I need and where I should buy it from Online? I have an XP 2800+ With an Asus A7N8X Delux Board. I also have 2 x 160GB HD's and 1 DVD-RW in the machine. I just want a case that will keep the uit cool and somethin cool but simple looking. I like the silver cases like the Apple G5 case as I will also have a G5 soon. Thanks James |

Almost every psu I see here in europe, has a 110-220V switch. It's a little red switch on the back of the psu that you can change with a flat screwdriver. Doesn't yours have one ?

The best online store over here is by far Newegg.com. They have more than excellent customer service and really good prices. As for a simple clean silver case, take a look at CoolerMaster, Kingwin, and Lian-Li. I personally like the CoolerMaster Centurion 2 (I have one ), CoolerMaster Praetorian, and the Kingwin KT-424-S. As for the power supply, there should be a switch on the back of yours that will allow you to use it with 110v power. However, if it is not a good quality power supply (take a look HERE) then you will want to replace it. Either an Enlight 360w or Enlight 420w would be a good choice because they are good quality, low priced power supplies that are very higly recommended on these forums. I have two myself and couldn't be happier.

Maybe he's moving to Florida just so he can order from newegg?
In all honesty though, newegg.com is the preferred e-tailer here in the US. Cases tend to cost a little bit in shipping, but look for one with a good psu, or order a separate PSU from the good psu list. . .

Yeah thats it, how did you find out? Ha Ha.
AH ok, any you think are good on there? I want a simple one that hides the DVD Drive, _ I also need a fan to keep it cool. I have 2 fans in the PC now and it over heats sometimes as i have tucked away (No Choice). I want a quiet fan as at the mo it sounds like its going to take off.
