Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a good brand for a CDRW/DVD combo drive? I could only find one by Toshiba. More importantly, does anyone have experience with a combo drive? If so, what is your opinion? Thanks, Shane |

Hi,
Ricoh has released a new combo drive for quite a while. It's 12/10/32 as burner and 8x as dvd. Ricoh is a very good brand name for burners, and that drive also has JustLink Technology. That is the same as Sanyo's BURN-Proof, i.e. a technology to stop the buffer underrun. It comes with Nero 5 and WinDVD, as far as I know. Just look here: http://www.ricoh.co.jp/cd-r/e-/e_eur...ndex9120a.html RJ

Where would be a good place online to buy one of these? I tried to get pricing and purchasing info from Ricoh's website, but no such luck. They closed down their online store, for example.
Thanks, Shane |

Just did a quick search and the only place I found to get the one by Ricoh is at pcnation.com. I did see a combo drive by Toshiba at buy.com also. I have a Ricoh combo drive and it works fine, and I am not familiar with the Toshiba, but it is a lot cheaper. Never shopped at pcnation either so I cannot comment on them.
