chances are you did not keep your same number to dial.... try another and use a v90 location if you have a v90 modem... which im guessing you do..... but anyways its AOL so what do you expect? Personally Ide rather use a free internet provider than stoop as low as aol.... but hey to each his own right

Outside of Lawther's suggestion on changing numbers, there's not a whole lot you can do. No one outside of AOL knows what was changed between versions of their software.

I hope you take no offence but after what has been written and said and proven about AOL, anyone who still uses them deserves what they get.

No offence taken,I am not an AOL user.A friend of mine has this problem.

Here is what I have found:
1.AOL 5.0 connects at 50K while AOL 6.0 connects at 28.8K on the same computer.
2.Went to my parents and AOL 4.0 connects at 46 K.

I never will use AOL,I will stick with my cable modem.
