Question ASUS or ABIT

i am planning to buy the ABIT nf7-s (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...127-166&depa=1) or the ASUS a7n8x-e deluxe (http://www.newegg.com/app/veiwProduc...131-478&DEPA=1) with an AMD athlon XP 2200+ (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...103-332&depa=1)

i plan to oc the amd to 400 mhz bus speed which mobo should i get and what should i watch out 4 when i oc

If you're going to overclock, go with the Abit. It's known for being a great overclocker.

thats 1 4 abit, will almost double the fsb the amd is designed at present a problem

I'd say get whichever. The ABIT has some nice nVidia SoundStorm integrated sound and stuff, and is very overclocking friendly, but can't really beat the Asus reliability.

I've had absolutely no stability issues with my Abit. Of course, I'm not OCing, but that doesn't really matter. I'd say Abit, just cause I've never used an Asus.

With the builds I've done, I've had more success and next to no problems with Asus. With Abit boards, I've had various issues. The onboard sound sometimes not working on NF7 series boards, for instance.

However, that doesn't mean Abit boards are "bad". Most builds have gone without a hitch.
