Computer won't POST
HI all,
I have a little problem with the BIOS of my system. The computer would post when you pressed TAB and it would give the usual beep as it booted up. Also you could still get into the Bios. However, since I installed my new Graphics card, this has ceased. Every time I press DEL to enter setup it just gives me a black screen with nothing Is it the new graphics card that is the cause of this problem? Ian |

Your new card may not be compatable with the MOBO.

The Computer was built three years ago by my brother-in-law. So I'm not too sure of the exact spec of the mobo so here goes:
PII 450 MHZ on a Supermircro MOBO with 256 mb RAM the new graphics card is a Sapphire Radeon 7000 and the old was an ATi RAGE. The hard drive is around 25 gig (again not sure of the make) and a Samsung CD drive. Also, I have recently installed a 56k Modem and it came with a network card. Hope that helps. |
