so i've just decided to get a window kit and do it myself. my question is whether or not i should get a window with a fan hole or not. i've heard that the window makes it warmer in the computer. i was thinking of getting a window with either a 120 mm fan that i'd have going as intake, or just a plain window. i'm running a geforce ti4200 and amd athlon xp 2600+.
thanks! |

I would get one with a fan, it helps with airflow, but the design of the hole on my case IMO looks good (well not as good as some I've seen, but better than some with no fan holes).

The fans with the cold cathodes have the same specs. They both spin at 2700RPM, push 31.73CFM and have 28dba of noise.
The LED fans on the other hand spin at 2500rpm, push 32.5CFM and have 27.39dba of noise. Those differences are very slight. Both will cool the system well and be pretty quiet. Get whichever you think looks better. If you're asking about the differences between the LED and CC: The LED fans will glow what ever color the LED is. Same with the Cold Cathode ones. The only difference between those is that the CCs are a circular tube of light while the LED fans have 4 LEDs on the corners. The UV CC fans will give off that "glow in the dark" color, because of the violet color of the UV.
