How to add an IR Remote to my pc?

Being the ultimate couch potato and building the nicest PC to home stereo i could afford, I now wish to add an IR remote to my pc so i can sit at my couch and instead of getting up and down to turn it on with my lazy butt, i wish to just press a button on the remote.
Any of you guys know how i could add one of these or atleast point me to where i could find one?
My case is a silverstone lascala (silver of course). So it should not be too hard to add

I have the ATI Remote Wonder which came with my AIW video card, and I must say its very useful. It works with media software like winamp and WMP right out of the box and has programable buttons, and an excellent range. ATI also has one called the Remote Wonder II, but i couldn't find a link on newegg.

However, you would not be able to use this remote (or any, as far as i know) to start up your PC because it is bus powered (through a USB port), and therefore the PC needs to be on for it to work.

Yep, i am looking for a way to turn on my pc with a remote. My video card does not have a tuner , there really is no need since I have a satellite tuner box to begin with. But, if i wanted to watch some movies or play video games and such from my pc, it would just be cool to not have to get up from the couch
