I want to see what you guys can come up with to make the quietest comp possible, using fanless heatsinks, powersupplies, hd coolers, everything! Tell me what you got!

Well I just made my other PC virtually silent. It's not a power house but it's nice to have some peace and quiet for once. HERE is a picture of what I did. Basically I just removed the small, noisy fan from the CPU and super-glued that bracket, which used to be in the front of the case, to the power supply. I also suspended the hard drive on elastic (seen HERE) I now have a silent PC.

I'll try to explain better. I was originally going to run it with a bigger heatsink and no fan. That would have left only the power supply fan which is completely silent. Well, it got too hot without a fan. I put the original K6 heatsink on (about 1.5 inches square). The big plastic thing with the fan in it was orginally in the front of the Enlight case. The fan is silent. I super-glued the bracket to the power supply so the fan is blowing on the CPU heatsink. Now it runs cooler and silent.

It's not just you sigma - I can't see them either. Pity... sounds interesting. There should be some ground rules for a challenge such as this or at least make sure people post their system specs. Cooling an Athlon 64 isn't like cooling a Vic20 (wait a minute... they were noisy as hell). You get the idea.
