Mobo USB quit working on all 6 USB ports?
I have a 875P board with USB problems
Have had the motherboard for a few months with no problems, USB printer was fine. I tried to connect my digital camera to the front USB, did not work so I tried the back USB. Still nothing so I connected to my laptop. Next time I tried to print, my printer will no not work on my computer. Printer and other USB items work on laptop, but all USB on desktop are out. Any suggestions? I tried Reconnecting, restarting... Deleting the USB from device manager, reboot and reconnect, installing latest inf drivers. = nothing Camera - Should be plug and play Lexmark X6170 Printer - was working just fine, could be a coincidence with camera Thanks |

Are you connected to a surge protector? if not a recent surge could have caused damamge and or the PSU is faulty, however if not try a virus scan, they could be infecting drivers

No storms, No Virus's. The PSU is an Antec. I doubt its bad but maybe...Any other ideas? Perhaps a system restore would fix???? Does Win XP SP2 have any fixes in it for USB problems?

Don't think SP2 has and usb fixes,
Try going int control panel >> system >> device manager >> USB root hub >> Power management make sure the 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' is unchecked as it could be a power saving issue. Also have you checked devices one-by-one? as it could be a faulty device is dragging down the USB voltage.

Reinstall all the drivers that came on your m'board cd rom. If its still dead, then you could always install a USB card in a PCI slot.
