Dell Inspiron 8600 notebook

I've been researching a bit on notebooks and after reading a few postings and looking at Dell's site the Inspiron 8600 is the one. However I have a few questions.

1. Is it worth getting the 3 yr. extended warranty?

2. How about OS, is XP Pro worth the extra $79?

3. On wireless networking cards there is an option of Dell's or Intel's, which one is better?

4. How's that combo drive CD-RW/DVD?

5. Under their processor section Dell's Recommeds 15.4 WSXGA+ over the standard 15.4 WXGA for another $50. Is this more real estate on the LCD?

Thanks.

1. Extended warantys are *always* worth it. If something happens and its with in three years of buying it but you didnt get the warranty youll be really po'd at yourself.
2. XP pro is only better for networking. If you wont be networking than its just a waste of $
