AMD 64 boards dont have DUAL memory!!???

Hi
I bought my self AMD64 3200 and a gigabyte board. But i forgot about the dual memory support. So i then look on some sites and almost all boards dont have dual even some expensive once. Is it becasue dual doesnt make much difference on AMD64?????

Probably.

Most peeps have said at best dual only helps 5 to 10%.

Intel boards on the other hand, love DDR.

The Socket 754 AMD 64's cpus dont have any dual channel support. If you were looking for dual channel on an AMD 64 then you should have looked into Socket 939 cpus and boards.

Currently, AMD only makes Socket 754 Athlon 64 3200+ CPUs, so your CPU won't take dual channeling - as imbest mentioned, you need a socket 939 to dual channel.
