I'd like to add ram

I have 2x256mb Hyundai Electronics HYMD232 646B8J-D43 FFFF0303 256MB 8x(32Mx8) DDR-SDRAM PC3200U-333-700 (CL3 up to 200MHz) (CL2.5 up to 167MHz) (CL2 up to 133MHz)

Id like to upgrade but dont really have the money to get 2x256. Would I be able to just run 1x256 of the same type, or speed, ram?

What are your system specs, especially the motherboard brand and model?

Head on over to www.crucial.com and use their memory configurator to find what you need. They'll guarantee compatibility with your Dell.
