Boom nonRAID multiple SATA drive setup?

I'm looking at getting a second SATA drive, since my secondary IDE drive has failed. (See here) However, I do not want a RAID setup. My Intel D875PBZ MB manual does not have anything about a nonRAID SATA setup.

Any advice on how to setup two SATA drives with out RAID would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Before you ask me "but why don't you want RAID?" here are my answers ahead of time:

I do not want a RAID setup for several reasons,
-my second SATA drive will be a larger capacity
-with RAID(0), if one drive goes, data is lost on all drives in the array
-RAID is a false accronymn "Redundant Arrays of Inexpensive Disks" as I do not believe SATA or SCSI drives are anything close to inexpensive...

You mean Intel, not IBM, right ?

The ICH5R southbridge has *optional* RAID, that doesn't mean that you have to use RAID. Just disable RAID in BIOS and that's it, the drives won't be used in a RAID config.
Just hook up the two drives and that's it.

Yes, I do mean intel MB, fixed my typo.

I'll give it a shot then, disabling RAID in my bios...
