CPU With No Cooling... Quick question

I want to quickly check if my CPU will work since it is from a dell on my new Asus Mobo. The Pins fit in and everything just the bottom of the mobo below it looks a little different. Anyway, I dont have a heatsink yet I ordered one BUT would it be ok to run the system for like 5 min without anything cooling the cpu to make sure everything is ok?

First off, what is the model of the processor, and the model of the motherboard? Also, do not run the CPU without proper cooling. You could fry it in seconds.

Yep, wait. You can't fry that Pentium 4 anyway, but it will run extremely slow to protect itself.
Never run a CPU without cooling, they heat up within a couple of seconds.
