Loading RAID 0 on Window 2000 question?
Okay I am experimenting with RAID 0 and I understand the consequences of running RAID 0, and I might not get much improvement in speed, but I am playing around with it and learning so I have a question when I am installing Win 2000.
I boot up the PC I have set up the Drives for Stripping, the BIO recognizes the 80 + 80 GB HD as 160, I go into the Win 2000 installation, hit F6 and install the drivers and everything’s is just fine. But when I get to the part of the installation where I need to build partitions and select drives, I was expecting to see one 160 GB partition. What I got was both hard drives showing up, so my question is this normal? If so which drive do I Install Win 2000 on? and what do I do with the other drive do I need to partition that or do I just leave it alone? Thanks in advance Channon |

"I was expecting to see one 160 GB partition" -> That is what you should see.
Go back into the Raid Controller configuation and double check settings per the manuals instructions. |
