Questioning On New Power Supply

I have had my power supply for about 3-4 years and now its making noises or the fan is just getting louder and i was wondering what your take on this is? Could it be possible that the fan is ready to go? Or maybe i need a better power supply (i.e. More watts) caus i believe that its probably 250 or 300 and the calculator that i was using was saying i should have 350 in there. Thanks again everyone

The fan is probably dying.

What are you computer specs? Post them and the brand and wattage of your current power supply and we can tell you if you need to upgrade to a more powerful power supply.

I would normally suggest a fan replacement but in this case it isnt worth it..
turbo-link are pretty generic grade PSUs.
you can get a good Sparkle unit that will power that setup for $32 shipped.

Yes you can replace the fan or even clean and re-oil the existing one...
however it voids any warranty you may have had, and it can be somewhat dangerous to open your unit to service it unless you know what your doing...
unless its a good quality unit to begin with and worth saving, you are better off replacing it alltogether...
Sparkle is one of the best brands out... known for use in servers and high-end systems.. they are not often as expensive as other brands due to the lack of any real advertising and their overall plain-ness.
