Thermal padding for external 2.5 HD

Ok i bought a external case for 2.5 HD a while back. There is still a bit of room inbetween the HD and the case and since the HD is not screwed to the case it wiggles a bit and his the sides when carrying and evetually ends up almost coming off the pins from the IDE to USB2 adaptor part which is the only thing that connects/holds the HD. I was wondering about putting something in there to pad up that bit of space but didn't want to put anything that'll short circuit or insulated my HD. I've been trying to find a etailer that carries some sort of non-conductive thermal pad that's about cloth thin, but no results. Does anyone know of any place i can go to? or any other material i can use. Plz post a reply if you do, thanks.

If you only need to friction fit one of the sides of the hard drive, it shouldn't matter that much if you use something thermally conductive or not. Most of the heat that comes off your hard drive comes off of the top I think. I would just try cramming a strip of foam along one of the sides.
