I recently built a Pentium 4 computer (Intel 2.8GHz) with an ASUS P4P-800E Deluxe motherboard. I an running Windows XP Home.
I am having a problem installing the drivers (from the ASUS MB CD) for the onboard Promise FastTrak 378 controller. My serial hard drive seems to work OK with Windows XP Home. If I enter BIOS, I noticed that the Onboard Promise Controller is disabled. Also, under Device Manager my "SM BUS Controller" is highlighted with a yellow question mark under the "Other devices", which is also highlighted with a yellow question mark. The term "RAID" is not mentioned at all in Device Manager. Please help. |

Did you try enabling the controller in the BIOS and then installing the drivers?
