x700, which mobo?

Ok guys I'm pretty new here. I have a question as to which motherboard I should get for x700. Is it possible to have an AMD and Pci-Express motherboard, because I've been searching and not seeing any? If you guys could give me some insight on Pci-Express and the motherboards that are good for it I'd appreciate it. Thanx !

The only chipset for AMD that supports PCI-Express is the NForce4, and that only recently came out. Right now, these motherboards aren't available for sale, but they will be (hopefully) soon.

Right now, it's probably only possible to go Intel and PCI-E - AMD's nForce4 chipset is so imprevelant as for now.

Even when NForce4 comes out, chances are it will be really expensive.

Grrrr...this angers me, because I don't really like pentium and I really want either an x700 or x800 . Guess I'll be looking into a different video card or cpu. Thanx for the help guys.

Or a Radeon X700 for that matter. The X700 series should come out in AGP8X soon - within Q1 2005 I'd say.
