first, don't use MSN messanger use Trillian for that and all your other messanging needs. it totally uses around 13 megs and has AIM, MSN, and IRC.

I use Trillian Pro 2.0 (have been for four years) and I have to say, though, that it takes some good amount of sys resources and so for reducing amount of RAM used, it would be a bad idea.

I don't think freeing up RAM is going to improve the FPS in games. With a gig of RAM I really doubt if your system goes to the swap file all that much.

Exactly what kind of problem are you trying to correct?

Send a message via MSN to netnamakan
You could try out cacheman xp it monitors ram usage and can optimize it for you
I have used it for awhile and it seems good. you can also use it to tweak alot of other windows features, it also has more options for controlling virtual memory.

Well is using 20-30% memory at idle normal, or is it high? I guess I don't really know what I am after, just thought maybe my FPS had to do with RAM..
