whats a good PSU For an amd and a good amd board with proccesor
im looking to put together a computer this week or so i wanted to know whats a good PSU is for an amd athlon 2800+
this what im going to get anygood http://www.pccityusa.com/amdatxp27boc.html this is the motherboard and processor that i want to get im going to run 512mb of pc3200 currently im going to use a nvidia 64mb card till i get more $$ so i have been looking at newegg.com for PSU but not sure which one i want to get something good for around 45$ thanks i dont no much about computers i want to get a good amd board and a amd athlon 2800+ if anyone knows Last edited by lowriderryda; 11-03-2004 at 02:59 PM. |

Enlight makes excellent power supplies, there's one well below 45 dollars. may I suggest you buy a different motherboard? ECS is known for low quality and for having problems. Look for an Asus, ABit, or DFI with the nforce chipset. Regards |

Have you looked at thermaltake yet lowrider? they make some of the best power supplys on the market today. This one has a great price tag on it and has 420 watts which is more than enough for most people. I currently own this psu. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...153-011&depa=1 they are basicly the same thing except mine has 60 more watts and has led lights in it and there are a few other small differences. |

Which psu you get doesn't really depend on the cpu, only think is that if you have a p4 then you need a psu for p4 but almost all psus are. A good psu is the enlight 420 watt.
