good luck... some of those are insanely hard to figure out... and is usually something not obvious from the outside, that releases the side panel...
do a google search on that system and you may luck out in finding a post or diagram on how it goes... I've found a few that way... |

either look on the back of the case there should be two thumb screws that you have to unscrew to remoce one of the sides. If not there should be several small phillips screws on the back of the case remoce them and the cover should slide off. you mighe have to slide the cover back to disengage it fron the front of the case before you lift the cover off.

Some of the Dell's have a large oval button on top at the rear of the case. If so, there is a corresponding release button on the bottom of the case. Push them both simultaneously and open the case like a clam shell. The hinge point is in the right front and the opening is at the left rear (looking at the case from the front). Typically you'll find a double tab at the rear that allows you to slip a small padlock or clip through to prevent opening/tampering.

The worst case I ever dealt with was a desktop IBM aptiva... I dont even remember how I got it off and I'm sure it'd take me an hour to figure it out again.

The towes that I have seen usually have the two thumbscrews on the back. And the desktops usually have a button on either side that you have to push in and then lift the case off.
