AMD 64 3000+ Tiny Overclocking problem
hello all, i did some searching for this but found nothing so far sorry if this has already been posted before (probably just using the wrong terms). i have a gigabyte ga-k8ns pro mobo and a amd 64 3000+ cpu, gigabyte has some sort of overclocking software i was tinkering with awhile back it raised my cpu speed from the default 2000 speed so 2009. its a small increase but i dont believe the computer runs like it did when it was at the 2000 speed so i wanted to go back to the original. i was wondering if reseting my cmos would accomplish this or if there are any other methods any of you could suggest it would be much appreciated. i know nothing of overclocking thats why i messed with theprogram thinking if anything would have been done wrong it would give me some errors
or big flashy colorful red lights. very noobish but the comp doesnt crash its still stable it just seems tobe a tad slower then when i first put this comp together. thanks in advance. this very site helped me create my first computer and im very pleased and grateful to all the staff and people of the site and in these forums everyday that were kind enough to help out others like me to aid in helping me and many others accomplish this goal.

Yes, clearing the CMOS will set your BIOS and computer back to a like-new state.
