Enermax Whispersys System Exhaust Blower

I've always been worried about heat on my computer and because of the limited number of 80mm fans in my computer, I decided to get one of these. It was extremely easy to install. All I had to do was screw it onto the back board and plug in the power connector. Immediatly it started pumping out huge amounts of air from the back of my computer. I can't even hear it over the rest of my fans so it's very quiet. To see how well it was working, I left my computer running for about and hour or so. Normally when I do this, my cpu temp raises to 120F, and my mobo temp to around 105F. When I cam back the temperature had not risen at all. With continued use there has been a 10F cpu temp drop and a 5F mobo temp drop (computer idles at 92CPU/89Mobo). Also because I put it below my video card, I was able to overclock it with no temperature increase. The one downside to this is the amount of space it takes up. By putting it below my video card, I have effectively elimiated 2 of my 5 pci slots. So I would not recommend this to somebody with few open slots. Everybody else, however, should get one of these as soon as they can.

Final Rating: 9/10

Yea, I've looked at these before, but hesitated because I didn't want to add to my already loud fan noise (See Sig). But since you say it is quiet...I'll have to invest in one.

Good choice. I highly suggest it as you can see above. And as a noise comparison, the 80mm case fan I recently installed makes at least twice as much noise.

32 cfm, quiet, and 3 bucks?

Ok... I'll keep my skeptism at bay... guess I have to order one just to see if its worth the space since its cheaper than your average case fan.

Grrr......10 days ago when I made my order it was $7. Then again, the shipping was cheaper.
