Maybe because all the help is working at Dell?? j/k

Some more details would be nice. Since you didn't mention it, I'll assume you are not OCing, and have not bought the CPU yet. In that case, I recommend going with the PIB (retail) version of the CPU which comes with a good HS/fan combo included. Also, if you get the PIB, it comes with a 3 year warranty versus a 30 day warranty for OEM CPUs.

HTH

yes i am overclocking and yes i allready own the cpu. Im starting to look at stuff to ask my relatives and stuff for christmas. If i dont, what happens is i end up getting stuff that is just pointless for a 21 year old in college. like last year i didnt say anything and my grandma bought me a giant 4 foot teddy bear lol. can you guys post links to where i could get these heatsinks and fans? i tried overclocking from 1.8ghz to 2.3 on my current heatsink and the temps got up to 70 degrees on idle so i think i might need a better cooling soloution. Im not real worried about sound either. also, i dont want a heatsink thats extreemly hard to install. i have a socket a type cpu right now. since im upgrading my heatsink fan and stuff, i dont know if i should get some new fans for my case. i have the thermaltake tsunami in black right now on my new overclocking rig (just built it 2 days ago) and im not sure if i can replace any of those fans to increase performance.

Do you have appropriate RAM? If you have RAM that doesnt overclock well, it will bottleneck your system (I think).

www.newegg.com is one good place for HS/fans (and a lot of other stuff, too).

not too sure because i haven't ever used this but thermalright seems to be a pretty good brand to buy air cooled heatsinks from. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...109-120&depa=0

probably a 90mm panaflo fan or perhaps if you don't care about sound, a vantec tornado.

well i could get the vantec tornado.... im not real worried about sound. lol in the reviews someone said it sounds like a blow dryer heh. I might get it just because the amount of air it pushes through is amazing 119 cfm is hard to beat.
