Heat Problem
ok, here's my problem. I'm not sure of my exact computer specs because I'm at work and I have a terrible memory. But here goes my best:
Soltek 75FRN2-L motherboard AMD Athlon 2200+ (Stock Heatsink and Fan) 512 MB Ram WinXP Pro I also have two other fans in my case running at 3000 RPM, give or take. My problem is that when I'm in my profile my CPU temp goes up to between 49-51. I have a total of 3 users on the computer. If I log off my user, an let someone else go on their user, the temp will go back down to 39 degrees, where it usually is, My only assumption is that their is something that I'm running that is heating it up more than the other users. It doesn't matter what I'm doing (surfing the internet, playing a game) I will always increase the temp. Any ideas of what may be the colprit? |

Look at the processes tab under the task manager and see if anything there is hogging up the cpu.
