BSOD on Windows setup with new build

OK I'm kinda new to forums in general so I hope I get it right.

I have just spent the last day and a half trying to install Windows XP on the following new build.

Abit NF7-S2 Motherboard
Sempron 2800+
Two - 512 Corsair PC2700 DDR RAM (VS512MB333)
Two - WD Caviar 120GB SATA150 (WD1200JD)
XFX GeForce 5500 256MB AGPx8 (PVT34BUAF6)
NEC DVD+/- R/RW 16x Dual Layer OEM

OK here is my problem.
I just can not get windows to install. However I try to partition and set up the drives Windows will BSOD with various error messeges either during the format of a new partition or just into the file copy. Examples of messeges I get include the good old _NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ones and _tried to close a thread it did not own (sorry I can not quite rememebr the messages but I am away from he machine right now and left my notes there) This happens when I either try to install on a SATA RAID array, an individual SATA disk or even an IDE PATA hard drive with the SATA ones disconected.
I have uopdated the BIOS on the board to version 13 (I have tryed 12 as well) as I needed to to install the Sempron on that mobo. It see's all the HW just fine it just will not install windows. Oh and when there is a partition already on the drive windows set up says (depending on it's mood but usualy this) The partition may be too full or the wrong size (even when I set it much lower than the full capacity of the drive).
I have tried 2 seperate shop bought copies of windows XP and also a CD drive I know to be working on this so I'm guessing it's not the disks or the drive anyway.

I hope I explained myself ok and will be happy to supply any other information anyone needs.

Thanks for your time guys and look forward to any ideas anyone might have.

Try installing with only 1 stick of RAM. Maybe one of your RAM sticks is faulty.

I have a friend with a new built PC and can't install windows in his PC with 2 X 256MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM. During boot up 512 can be read and then can't load windows. He removed one stick and everything went fine, Tried the other stick but cant load windows. He found out that one of them is faulty.

In your case, Maybe one faulty RAM stick.

Good Luck... Post for further developments...

Thanks rcvalencia9 that helped alot.
However....
I tested using one stick of RAM like you suggested and Windows installed fine then tried the other and BSOD.. Result!!... I have a bad stick of RAM (never thought I'd hear my self saying that and sounding happy about it). Well ummm, I'm not to sure now.
Seems to be a problem with dual channel because if I install both sticks in a combination that allows for dual channel then BSOD time but if I install the RAM in a combination that doesn't use dual channel then no problems at all. I am aware that this could still be a problem with my RAM but seems kinda odd to me...?

I think that is really a bad stick of RAM. Dual Channel is combination of two RAMs and considered as one(logically) to double the bandwidth. While if it is in a non-dual channel, they are two separate RAMs(logically and physically) with no doubling of bandwidth.
