helping in chosing AMD 64 MB????

Help in choosing AMD MB????
Gang I could use some help.... It's been at least 1 year since I built my last system and fell alittle behind the times.. What I am looking at getting for christmas is a AMD 64 3000. I have a few questions that I could use some help with:

1.) Should I go with a socket 754 or socket 939??

2.) What is the best 754 and 939 boards??

3.) What is the better chipset, VIA K8T800 or nVidia nForce3 Pro 250 ??

I am leaning toward the Asus K8V SE Deluxe (socket 754) and would appreciate help before I order....

Thanks,
spmiz

1. Socket 939-pin.

2. Asus K8V-SE DX or K8N-E DX AND Asus A8V DX respectively.

3. Both are good. VIA just tends to be a tad bit cheaper.

For socket 939 you can also take a look at the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum.

From what I've reas, that's the best mobo for the 939 64's. I'm planning on putting that into my next build.

I'm planning on it too, depending on how the nForce4 prices are around Feb-March.
