More of the slower, or less of the faster
Simply question, should 3 512 sticks (1.5GB) of PC2700 run better in a gaming computer than 2 512sticks (1GB) of PC3200? CAS = 2.5 for all sticks. TIA

If it's an 800 fsb Intel or 400 fsb AMD, go with the PC3200 and forget the extra 512. The increased speed will more than make up for the difference. If it's a 533fsb Intel or 333 AMD go with the PC2700 combo. The extra speed offered by the PC3200 memory will be held back anyway.

Regardless, I don't think you would see a difference between 1.0 and 1.5GB of RAM, get the dual PC3200.

It was more of a general question Bailey, and I am leaning more towards the 2 PC3200 like HAL said. Thanks all!
