Post Best Board Vendors

Greetings all:

I own a computer store in Florida and would like to stock some AMD and/or Intel motherboards and CPU's and would be interested in hearing some experienced users give their opinions on what they would like to see and why (benchmarks etc.) Thanks in advance...

AMD
Asus A7N8X series
Asus A8V Deluxe
MSI K8 series (Athlon 64)

Intel
Asus P4P800 series
Intel boards - anything with a 865, 875, or 915 chipset

That would provide some pretty good choices for a local shop.

What's your target market going to be? Gamers will be after the latest high speed stuff while home builders more interested in music and picture manipulation will forego the newer parts for proven stability and multifunction capability. The you'll have to consider whether to include firewire connections, multiple USB connectors, type of memory (DDR vs DDR2) and which Video slot. The new stuff hasn't been out long enough for very many folks to have first hand knowledge yet. All in all a tough question to answer.

I have a steady stream of hobbyists that frequent the store (PC guys who love building for building sake and selling). I would like to stock quality AMD boards that have versatility (I have been noticing some AMD compatibility issues) and Intel boards that are economical and reliable.
