Ridding PCI cards of dust
I've got a computer where all of the horizontal cards, such as the video card and sound card, have a lot of dust on them. What is the safest way of cleaning these cards? I'm leery of taking a vacuum cleaner to them for fear of static, so is blowing compressed air the only option? Or are there special vacuums or vacuum brush attachments that can be used? Thanks.

I always use compressed air, it works very well.

You are very right not to use a standard house vac... static city!!
I use a soft bristled brush and a bit of lung power when I cant get a can of general purpose compressed air. Not the wisest but it works. I believe there are special vacuums for this purpose too but would you buy one? i doubt it really unless you were in business. |

I'd recommend canned air to clean it off, then just clean it off the bottom of the case.
