Hi, I'm using an AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3400+ Recently while using my machine my cpu fan died and the system shutsdown after a while. I've got a huge box fan next to it, with the case open and run it for a short time to back up my data because I'm in the middle of a big project. I want to buy a new fan for this CPU but I'm unsure which one to get. The current fan it is using is EVERFLOW DC Fan & DC Motor Model: R126010DU DC 12V 0.40 AMP I'm not really all that into super modding and cooling and all. I want to buy a replacement fan but would like to know if there is any other better fan you can suggest for this processor that is better. I don't have time because im in the middle of a project to do any fancy adjustments. Just would like the exact link to which fan should I buy. I desperately need help and need to get a fan I can snap in like this one really quickly. PLEASE HELP all the mod gurus out there. BIG Thanks in advance. -themiragemaker. Are you talking about the heatsink fan? You should just get a new heatsink. I'd look at the Zalman heatsinks. They are quiet and very reliable.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I'm not very familiar with CPU cooling. Which heatsink should I get? Is it not just possible to get a replacement CPU fan for the one that died or is it essential I replace the heatsink? -themiragemaker |
