network printer problem
Okay here's the deal. we have a HP Laserjet III connected to our File/Print server via a PrintSir Plus. When I send a print job to it I can see it on the queue but it just sits there for a few seconds and then kicks out the error "error-printing". I can ping the PrintSir Plus' IP address (connected the printer) and if I do a test print right off the File/Print server using the PrinSir software it'll print out fine but if I even try to do a test print from the printer, i get the same error message.
Some of the solution I've tried: restarting printer, restarting the printer spooler, and unplugging and plugging the PrintSir Plus back into the printer. I'm out of ideas...any other suggestions????

never mind i got it working fine now. it was kinda stupid but there was an order of sequence that had to be done. first turn off the printer and the printsir plus (unplug it from the printer). power the printer back on...wait until the printer is warmed up and online. plug in the printsir plus (without the network cable or power cable plugged into it. wait a couple of seconds and then plug in the power cable...wait until connectivity lights stop flashing and then plug in network cable.
thanks for looking and reading my rant.

Thanx for getting back with the solution. All too often folks find their own fix and neglect to report back for others to use for future reference.
