Unhappy problems with antec

let me start off by saying that everything i knew about antec was good. i never had a problem and i always heard good things about them. as in my sig. i have an antec power supply and ive never had a problem with it. its very durible, heavy and reliable. then my fans inside died and my fan connectors died. i started thinking they wernt so good. but i put an 80mm fan on the back of my case to suck the air out of the power supply, and ive had good temps and steady stock voltages, even without the fan working. so its still a good product but dont forget it broke on me in less than a year... i still had a good impression of antec dispite this and ive heard that their customer service was very good so i rma the psu and they are really friendly and sent me out the new psu in about a week. then i open the box and its a tru power 380w psu!!! mine is a 430! now i have a problem with antec! so im waiting for them to call me back and let me know whats going on with geting a new psu. im not saying that just becouse of this, antec is bad, but i am very dissapointed in them and probably wont buy another psu from them in future builds. if anyone else has any problems or has had any with them or other psu manufacturers, please post. i would like to avoid this situation in the future. thanx for hearing my rant!! hope its not inapropreate for this section of the forum. thanx again for any replies!

I have an antec case and have had two antec PSUs, haven't had a single problem with either. I have also heard that Antec customer support is excellent, so I'm sure that sending you the wrong PSU was an accident, and that they will sort it out quickly once you contact them.

Good luck with it,
mike

Yeah, I think them screwing up the power supply return, while regrettable and annoying, is something that big companies are gonna do every now and then. Much more important is how well and quickly they fix the problem.

ok i just got the call and they are going to replace it with the one i was supposed to get but they have to get the power supply and then check it and then they will send out the right one, which will probably take a week if not two, so i might not even have it back till christmas, and i still have to send mine to them and wait for my account to get credited. this is an awfull ordeal!!
but like i said ive only heard good things about them so i must be that one in a million!! she said she would talk to her supervisor and see if he'll send out the new one with 2 day shipping tho so if that happens then thats good.

Normally, with any replacement, the manufacturer will offer immediate replacement if you give them your credit card number for security reasons and return the defective one within 30 days. If you don't return it on time, they bill you for it. Sounds like an innocent mistake on Antec's part and they are trying to make it right. Hope you aren't without your psu for very long.
