Red face HP 2410 all-in-one printer randomly prints weather reports

I have a HP 2410 all in one print/scan/fax and it worked great until recently. Now at least twice a day it prints out weather reports for Seattle Washington. At first i figured adware or a virus but have found my pc to be clean after numerous scans. I then decided to leave the printers usb cable unhooked from my pc until i figured the problem out. To my disbelief the printer still printed out a report saying weather service not available at this time. I unplugged the power for a day then plugged it back in hoping to reset it but it still prints reports. I understand that this model printer has a small amount of built in memory. Could this be where the problem lies? I have googled and found nothing and HP tech support doesnt seem to undersand. Has anybody else seen this problem. Any pointers are appreciated. Thanks for a great site!

check the manual and try to clear the memory
if that fails
i have a HP all in one too but a different model. go to setup---> maintainence-->restore default factory settings.
that should fix it

OK I reset it to the factory defaults. It may take a little while to see if that did the trick but I will let you know the results. Thanks again.

This may be a good place to ask the question, are you happy with your 2410 HP, or would you change to a different one now that you've had this one?

I've been pondering an "all in one" for some time now, and I'm having a heck of a time deciding which way to go!

I like the HP brand, as they are the only printers I've owned since the advent of the computer, and haven't necessarily heard too many good things that make them any better than the HP brand?
I thought perhaps trying to find the one overall that worked best, AND had the least expensive ink cartridges, but low cost ink cartridges just don't seem to be available for any of the models.
I liked the Epson line as well, but have heard that if you don't use them regularly, the ink tends to "evaporate" or diminish?

Lexmark...haven't heard of them being any better than any other?

Canon, again, they must be new, as I don't know of too many people that have them.

Any help on this would be appreciated. I should mention, I am budget minded, and don't necessarily need the top of the line most expensive unit out there, but one that works well, and is well worth the dollars spent.

Thanks in advance.

Dale

The cheapest ink cartridges are Canon, but their all in ones have a very slow scanner. The best low end all in one in my opinion is the HP Officejet 5510.
