i'm having a problem with a hard drive. heres the back story

my mom bought a gateway 4 years ago. weve used the small little 10gig 5400 rpm drive that came with it because thats all she needed. now weve decided to add an 80gig wd hard drive. problems getting it to recognize the 80gig as the slave but i fixed that by installing 2000 then xp on the 80 gig. the problem is that i need to get data off the old drive and transfer it to the new drive. it says that it is formatted and that it has 15.6mb free and 0 mb used. it is imperative that i get this data or else im screwed. by the way, the old drive still has/had windows 98 installed on it when it became the slave

(btw its a fujitsu)
