I just upgraded the 2 coputers to XP pro. Both are using Nero 6 for burning but now both of them get about 38 to 48 percent complete on a burn and stop. The cd's are junk. One pc P111 w/ 512 ram the other xp1800 w/ 512 ram. What should I check? Thanks!

Nero 6 has some issues with SP2. Download the upgrades at Nero to fix the problem.

Make sure DMA is enabled on your IDE controllers (device manager).

DAM is enabled (which brings me to how do you disable in XP) I will try the nero site. I did just burn a cd using explorer and can read it in the cdrw drive but not the cd drive. When I do a drive check with nero it says ASPI is corrupted. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

I downloaded a fix from MS and this time the cd copied perfectly but when I go to read the cd in the CDRW drive it says there is nothing on it. When I put it in the other drive it says it can't read the disk. When I check it with Nero it does say that there is the correct amount of info on it (same as the disk that was copied). Is this a Nero or XP issue? I have downloaded the most recent Nero.

Check the CD-RW manufacturer's web site and see if there is a firmware update that helps with this issue.
