IP address conflict with the Hardware
Just few hours back when I was working on my Office PC, As I was checking some sites on internet, I got an error messege stating something like this:
" IP address 192.168.0.147 is in conflict with a Hardware ( I dont remember which Hardware was it)". 192.168.0.147 is actually the IP address of my computer and this messege appeared on my computer twice or thrice. What should I do? Can anyone tell me how can I check this problem in a system? Regards, |

are you running dhcp or static ip addresses on your lan, usually what that error means is that if there is another computer on your network the logs on with the same ip address on the same subnet then both computers will stop accessing the network because of an ip conflict. how many computers are your running on your Lan and what type of ip addressing system are you using, static or dynamic? it could also be having a conflict with a firewire port, since you can add an ip address to firewire ports if you have you computer set up in such a way.
