Brother HL-1440 problems

We have 2 Brother HL-1440 laser printers in our office. The only have 2mb of RAM and they have problems printing some programs efficiently. So I ordered memory and intalled it on both. Still prints Quickbooks reports like giberish. I have reinstalled all kinds of drivers, new and old. Hasnt helped.

Any ideas?

Have you told the printer driver how much ram is installed? This is not a parameter that usually autodetects. Check the Device Settings tab - or possibly the Advanced tab, printing defaults, advanced.

A suggestion for future laser printer purchases - stick with HP for office use, and don't get a USB-only winprinter. Less hassles in the long run.
