TV as a monitor clarity

Is there any way to take a TV and run it through a AIW 9800Pro and still read the text and words on the screen. Because I did this with the ATI 9200 and couldn't figure out how to make it less blurry. Do I need a HD television or somthing. Thanx

I have an HDTV (49inch wide/falt screen) and i once in a while use that as a monitor for playing games. Its impossible to read anything. Would that problem also be fixed by changing the resolution, or would i have to go to the small 29 inch upstairs?

What resolution are you running it at when you have it connected to the TV?

I'm using a 50'' DLP Samsung HDTV and I've tried with composite and s-video cables. They don't work. But it works very well with a DVI cable. You can read the finest of prints. In fact, it runs 720p so DVDs look better on my computer than on my 480p DVD player.

Some HDTV's have a DVI input. Not all of them do. Component video inputs are more common but not as good as DVI because they are analog. See THIS guide for more info on connections. I have never used an HDTV as a monitor so I'm not sure how the text would look.
