Im running 1 stick of 512 value ram and i think i need more because i am experiancing slowdowns when playing games like red alert 2 and doing stuff such as Right clicking on a icon in the task bar and it takes up to 20 seconds to show the menu. I had a virus running around in System Volume INfo which i scrapped and i scanned my whole computer with F-prot antivirus which didnt detect anything after that.
Should i invest in better ram? Show me some good ones. Also what can i do to increase performance. Lastly, is there a diagnostic program which tells you how much memory is being used? As im typing this disk defragmenter came into my mind. Im gonna scan with Spybot, try that online virus service, and defragment. god****it this will take awhile

First off, watch the language... Moderators dont like that!
Just letting you know!Ok, what speed is your RAM PC3200 or PC3500? I dont believe the RAM is your problem. That should be more than enough to run those games with no trouble. Try running anti-spyware programs like SpyBot and AdAware and remove all the spyware and adware that is on your computer. Also clear out your temporary internet files in your internet browser. I am guessing you have some major spyware issues if your computer has slowed down that much. Also, is your anti-virus up to date? Try running Trend Micro's free version of their anti-virus program here which is called "Housecall." See if that detects anything... Hope some of this will help... AK
