Beep Sounds
This is only a small problem but it is driving me mad. Can anyone tell me why me newly installed fully working and stable Abit AN7 Motherboard just constantly beeps through the case speaker although there appears to be nothing wrong in any way. Is it just a feature of this particular board or is there a way of turning it off through bios. At the moment i have diconnected the speaker lead. Rest of the system is AMD 3200+ barton. WinXP SP2, 1GB Crucial 400mhz DDR ram, 2x80gig seagate Hdds.
Also my cpu temps seem quite high with stock heatsink+fan, about 60degrees at normal work loads. |

That's an overheat warning. You need to check your heatsink mounting and your case airflow.
