Old P4 CPU on a New 865p board? Should work but no video!

Hi
I have an Abit IS7 board and trying to use an old P4 1.5 cpu with info:'1.5/256 400/1.75'
on the board but I get no video.
I put in a new 3.0C chip and it works fine. I put the 1.5 on another board (p4 875p Gigabyte 8knxp) and it works fine.

Since I can boot with the 3.0 chip, i did and set the cmos for a 1.5 chip as best as I could. I put the bus speed to 400, switched the CPu but still didnt work.. to be honest im not sure if im doing the settings properly but still shouldnt it auto detect?

i had another IS7 and this chip worked with that but it was an older revision of the board.

Please help!.. thanks in advance

Try clearing the CMOS by either using the CLEAR CMOS jumper or by removing the motherboard battery for half an hour. Unplug the computer from the wall outlet first.

According to Abit, the IS7 does not support a Willamette CPU, which is what you have.
